the so-called 'Superior' King Room was anything but with a door that stuck and required extreme effort to close, making me feel like a bull in a china shop. i expected better service, perhaps a complimentary snack for the trouble, but was met with complete indifference. delightful breakfast does not make up for inconveniences. almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

Staying at the Federal House was truly enjoyable. The room was a spacious Superior King Room with a cozy setup. I loved the gas fireplace, especially on those chilly nights. Breakfast each morning was gourmet, showcasing excellent flavors and generous portions. Kate, our host, made our experience special with her warm hospitality and local dining recommendations. However, I did face a minor inconvenience with the door to my room. it stuck a bit when opening, which was frustrating. Despite this, the comfort and charm of the Federal House made it a memorable getaway.
